BOSTON, Mass (WBZ-AM) —  The New England Patriots are getting ready to play the Titans in Tennessee this weekend -- and that means the pats get an up-close look at a player they know very well.

Malcom Bulter was a Super Bowl hero a few years ago won another championship then was benched for the big game last year. Still with no explanation from anyone involved people still aren't over it.

You think Butler isn't either for he got paid the offseason 5 years $61-Million Dollars from the Titans but he's human.

Malcolm, Bill Belichick benched you in the Super Bowl you got to be counting the seconds until kickoff?

“It's just a game with just a game. You know it's nice to play for New England and all of that I'm not overhyped I'm not you know very pumped. It ’s just another game I got to be ready to play you know no matter who I play people are throwing a ball so I got to be ready,” he said.

While we'll never know what would have happened last winter, Belichick is looking smart for not handing the former all-pro a big payday.

There's been one of the worst corners in the league this season responsible for half of the 14 touchdowns scored against Tennessee's defense.
