BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- In the first seven games of the Patriots' season, Tom Brady totaled 18 touchdowns and completed 68 percent of his passes. His quarterback rating was 100, and he was sacked just nine times.

Last three games, Brady's passed for one score and his completion rate's down to 60. His QB rating? 85. Oh, and seven sacks.

It's getting worse by the game, so many are wondering aloud if the reigning MVP is slipping at 41.

Brady told Jim Gray on Westwood One last night he just wants to be better.

"Everything's different from one year to the next," Brady said. "I think you keep working at it in the same way--those things haven't changed for me. I'm sure some of my statistics have changed, but I feel good out there, and I feel like, do I want to play better? I absolutely want to play better. I wanna play as best as I possibly can for my team, and that's what my job is to do. Certainly, yesterday was not a great performance. I gotta go out there and play my very best these next six weeks to give our team the best chance. That's what I wanna do."

A healthy Rob Gronkowski, separation from the receivers, and some protection from the offensive line would help.

Pats are off for their bye this weekend. They'll visit the Jets in 12 days.
