BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Big news from the NFL last week when Jason Witten decided to leave the Monday Night Football broadcast booth after just one season for a return to the field with the Cowboys.

Many assume part of the reason for the decision was because Witten expected to lose his analyst job and wanted a more ceremonious exit.

Former receiver Steve Smith was at the league's combine with NFL Network and, always honest, shared his thoughts about Witten when asked if he'd also consider a comeback.

"I'm actually good on TV, so I'm just gonna stay here," he said.

The two-time All-Pro's still got it.

Smith hasn't played since 2016—and he was still effective. It'd be nice to see him again, but hearing him these days is almost as much fun.
